I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at The University of Iowa. I study social media, political and social issues advertising, and algorithmic bias. Additionally, I am interested in emerging technologies such as NFTs and the economics of Blockchain-based marketplaces. I use methods from Machine Learning and Causal Inference, Econometrics, and Unstructured Data Analysis in my research. 

I obtained my Ph.D. in Quantitative Marketing, at The University of Texas-Dallas. Prior to my Ph.D. I majored in Electrical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, focusing on Computer Vision and Internet of Things. 

In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, playing tennis, and swimming.
